The Hospital for Endocrine Surgery is home to the Clayman Thyroid Center, which performs more thyroid operations each week than most major U.S. universities and hospitals perform in a year. Our surgeons perform about 2,000 thyroid operations annually, with about 20% of those representing re-operations from patients not cured at another hospital.

Leading the Clayman Thyroid Center team is Dr. Gary Clayman, the most experienced thyroid surgeon in the world, performing more than 600 thyroid operations per year for over 26 years on patients ranging from 6 months to over 100 years old. He was the Chief of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery at MD Anderson for 17 years before founding the Clayman Thyroid Center in 2016.
